Unknown Gunmen in Kogi have again yesterday invaded a Celestial Church, Blood of Jesus Parish, killing two persons and injuring several others.
According to sources who spoke with the Nigerian Post, the Gunmen in there numbers invaded the church at about 8:00pm Sunday, opened fire at the members who are residing within the confines of the church.
The attack is the second, coming few weeks after another church was attacked around the corridors of Felele area of Lokoja.
The Celestial Church, Blood of Jesus Chapel is located behind the NNPC Mega petrol station in Felele area of Lokoja.
The dead bodies have been recovered and deposited at the Federal Medical Centre, with the injured also receiving treatment.
Speaking on the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Williams Ayah, confirmed the attack, said two females were killed, with others receiving treatment.
He said the Kogi State Police Command has deployed men of the command to the area with a view to arresting the perpetrators and bringing them to book.
