Group Wants Okpehbolo To Call His SSG, Ikhilor To Order

A Socio Cultural Group, the
AIGUOBASINMWIN MOVEMENT has called on governor Monday Okpehbolo to call his secretary to government, Umar Musa Ikhilor to order.
The group in a statement signed by
Mr. Iyamu Osaro Culture-President
and Osayuki-Osa Benson-Secretary General, to direct the Secretary to the Edo State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor , ” to immediately reverse the title he awarded to the yet to be coronated Okuokpella of Okpella, Michael Eshioronoya Olorunfemi Sado.”
The statement reads:-
HIS ROYAL MAJESTY Is Statutorily Reserved For OBA OF BENIN; Why Governor Monday Okpebholo Should Call SSG To Order.
With reference to Edo State Traditional Rulers and Chiefs Edict 1979, the Permanent Chairman and Head of Traditional Rulers in Edo State shall bear and retain the Royal title of His Royal Majesty which is Oba of Benin and no other Traditional Rulers whether by appointment or hereditary shall bear or retain the above Royal Title.
It could be recalled that few weeks ago, the Secretary To Edo State Government, Barr. Musa Ikhilor issued appointment letter on behalf of Edo State Government to the yet to be coronated Okuokpella of Okpella, Michael Eshioronoya Olorunfemi Sado wherein he was addressed as His Royal Majesty. Immediately we saw the grievious error that Secretary To Edo State Government committed, we engaged him quietly wherein he apologized and promised never to repeat such mistake again. Sadly, when we saw a publication from the media team of the yet to be coronated Okuokpella of Okpella, Michael Eshioronoya Olorunfemi Sado bearing and retaining His Royal Majesty as a title which the Secretary To Edo State Government has earlier promised to rectify, we initiated another round of engagement via our internal mechanism but his response was not appealing to us.
Regrettably, the action of the Secretary To Edo State Government as it affect His Royal Majesty title he awarded to the yet to be coronated Okuokpella of Okpella, Michael Eshioronoya Olorunfemi Sado is raising stupendous concerns, angers and displeasures from the good people of great Benin Nation.
To this end, we want to respectfully call on Governor Monday Okpebholo to direct the Secretary to Edo State Government to immediately reverse the title he awarded to the yet to be coronated Okuokpella of Okpella, Michael Eshioronoya Olorunfemi Sado.
