Group Urges Federal Lawmaker Damisa To Contest Or Be Sued.


 

The Intellectual Think Tank for Good Governance (ITTGG),
a civil society organisation, has called on a federal lawmaker, Hon. Tijani~Ahmed Damisa to formally declare his intention to seek reelection for House of Representative in 2023 general elections or be dragged to court.

The Chairman of the group, Comrade Mujitagba Agidi, who addressed newsmen on Sunday in Abuja during GYB declaration, said the time is ripe for Damisa to make his intention known to the public.

Agidi described the federal lawmaker ambassador of his people whose services is still needed.

“It is high time the federal Lawmakers formally declared his ambition or the group will drag him to court. The group is an advocate for good governance and we are satisfied with legislative performance of Hon Damisa. He has been working in synergy with the state government to bring development to his constituency.

“We therefore call on Tijani~Ahmed Damisa Yusuf to immediately make his intention known to seek reelection for House of Representative comes 2023 or we will drag him to court
for denying us good services.

“We also call on the good people of Okene/Ogori-Magogo immediately
join hands in this crusade to persuade Damisa to
promptly declare,” he said.

According to Agidi if Damisa is reelected, there will be more dividends of democracy, and participation of youth in his government .

“We frown at people trying to cause division along clans, religious and Sectarian lines because of their selfish interest. Hon Damisa is detribalised and believed in collectivism.

“He has been tested and trusted. He alone knows the right
buttons to press that will re-gig the constituency. He is a great communicator; he has a listening ear, a unifying factor that
will put us back together to be one strong united constituency as it
was in the beginning,” Agidi said.
