Group Condemns President Tinubu Cabinet Reshuffle
—-Says Appointment Of 7 Ministers Not Necessary

A Socio Cultural Group, Concerned Edo Citizens Forum ( CECF), has condemned the recent cabinet reshuffle by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu which led to the sack of some ministers.
The group described the exercise
as a failed process which did not meet the expected needs of the Nigerian people.
According to The Convener of the group, Comrade Roy Oribhabor, it was one in futility as critical areas and ministries that would have addressed and mitigabte the hardship faced by Nigerians were left out.
According to him, it has become necessary to State our position and concern over the recent cabinet reshuffle by President Bola Tinubu.
“After critical evaluation of all the ministers that were sacked in the name of cabinet reshuffle, we have come to the humble conclusion that the cabinet reshuffle didn’t reflect the sincere willingness for a better Nigeria but deliberately an effort to reward party loyalists without considering their impacts, therefore, we view the entire process as mere food for the boys/girls.
As a group,We are seriously bothered that the critical aspect of the economy was not considered. It is shocking that the economy and finance departments were not involved in the cabinet reshuffle, hence, we are wondering why the cabinet reshuffle when critical areas of our national development were neglected in the entire process.
It’s on record that Nigerians are suffering with fear of hopelessness, frustration, and one will naturally think that important areas of interest should be the economy, finance and monetary policy of CBN but not otherwise.
“The president has further demonstrated he is not aware of the unprecedented suffering in Nigeria. What Nigerians need now is what to eat( survival mechanism) not political patronage policies but conscious determination to make life meaningful for ordinary Nigerians who are down trodden as a result of policy misapplication and misdirection.
They queried, how can you sack five ministers and nominate seven in a failed economy like Nigeria? It clearly shows to us that the president and presidency do not understand what is becoming of Nigerians. We expected all actions of the Nigerian government for now would have been how to rescue Nigerians from wanton poverty and deprivation .They queried.
He therefore called on the president to review his cabinet with a view to injecting life into critical ministries that would mitigate the life of despondency of Nigerians.
“We therefore call on President Bola Tinubu to review the cabinet with a view to injecting more energies in reawakening the dead economy than mere smokescreen and window dressing disposition.
Stating that, Cutting the cost of governance should be the reason for the recent action of the Bola Tinubu not a mission for securing a second tenure because indeed people are suffering. We condemn every action of the government that would further increase the cost of governance rather than reducing it”.He concluded.
