Governor Ododo Has Not Disappointed Us – Ankpa LG Chairman

The Chairman of Ankpa Local Government Area, Adamu Muhammed Yahaya, has praised Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his commitment to grassroots development.

Speaking at the commissioning of a water project and the renovation of an administrative block at a school in Enjema, Yahaya—represented by his Vice, Hajia Halim Iman—expressed satisfaction with the governor’s performance.

“Ododo has not disappointed us yet,” Hajia Iman declared, emphasizing that the governor has consistently delivered on his promises. She highlighted that besides the projects being commissioned, several other state government initiatives were ongoing in Enjema and across the local government, adding that Governor Ododo had exceeded expectations in his first year in office.

His Royal Highness, the Onu Enjema, Chief Maxwell Ameh, who represented the Eje of Ankpa at the event, expressed appreciation for the government’s intervention in his domain. He commended the governor’s development efforts across multiple sectors and pledged the community’s continued support for the administration.

Princess Maryam Mu’azu Nasiru, a respected daughter of the community, also lauded the governor and the Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency (KGCSDA) for their role in bringing much-needed development to Enjema. Describing the projects as “far-reaching,” she emphasized that they would positively impact the community, which had faced neglect for years.

“These projects provide a conducive learning environment and access to clean, potable water, improving the overall quality of life for our people,” she stated. She also acknowledged the cooperation of community members, which facilitated the smooth execution of the projects.

The General Manager of KGCSDA, Chief Momoh Dauda, commended the people of Enjema for their active participation in the implementation and commissioning of the projects. He described their enthusiasm as a demonstration of appreciation and support for Governor Ododo’s administration.

Chief Dauda assured the community that the government would continue to invest in infrastructure and social development. He urged residents to safeguard the projects to ensure their long-term benefits.

Beyond Enjema, the chairman, on behalf of the governor, also commissioned a water and primary healthcare facility in Ejegbo community.

These projects were implemented under the Nigeria Community Action for Resilience and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES) Programme, further solidifying the state government’s commitment to improving rural infrastructure.

The event concluded with optimism from community members, who expressed hope for continued collaboration between the state government and local communities to drive sustainable development.
