Comr. Idris Miliki Abdul,

Conscience for human Rights and Conflict Resolution CHRCR, has describe the recently held birthday celebration of Gov. Yahaya Bello as a private business, lamented that it was alledgly funded with Public funds.

In a statement he personally sent to the Nigerianpost which read this:

” Birthday celebration by individual, country or even institution is a reflection of life, evaluation of achievement and stock taking and thanks giving.

The live television activities that was withnessed during the 46 birthday ceremony of the governor of Kogi State is worrisome.

More importantly when such activities is not and have never been associated with any direct benefits to kogi State.

Such as commissioning of projects, visitation to orhanage homes, projects sites etc etc.

How many projects have the governor initiated and commissioned on a live television?

It therefore shows clearly that it was a private Business at public Expense which is regrettable and unfortunate.

As at today, Kogi State have no television of its own in the 21st century, despite this government in kogi State have received not less than Four hundred billions Naira.

The collosal amount is being spent on national and privately owned television stations without direct benefits to kogi State and it’s people”. the human rights activist conclude.
