A member of the Governing Council of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, PAAU, Hon. Ali Atabor has congratulated the Institution football team for emerging champion of this year’s Higher Institutions Football League.
Rejoicing with some University management staff at the end of the encounter.
The team this evening at the Yaba Sports Complex in Lagos State defeated Federal University Oye in Ekiti State by three goals to one to lift the trophy.
Hon. Ali Atabor who spoke to Sports Writers at the end of the encounter, praised the team for making Kogi state proud by the victory.
The Council member commended the Management of the University for creating the enabling environment for the football team to excel in state and national competitions.
He also thanked the visitor to the University, the Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for supporting the university to excel in academic and sporting activities.
‘ I sincerely thank the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Marietu Tenuche under whose administration the Institution has being recording various successes’.
‘This victory is well deserved, and I salute the technical crew for the excellent outing this evening. Thank you for making the university and the state as a whole proud’.
Hon. Ali Atabor commended the Director of Sports in the university, Comrade Moses Balogun for raising a winning team.
