Days after the national leader of the All Progressives Congress and the former governor of Lagos State, Chief Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was declared the winner, as the presidential aspirant to represent his party in the forthcoming presidential election, it was made known that he has started consulting some northern elders and governors, on whom will be his running mate in the election.
According to a news that was published by The Nigerian Tribune Newspaper Online this morning, it was reported that the northern governors of the country, have submitted some names to the All Progressives Congress’ presidential flag bearer, and that, they submitted eight names for him to consider as running mate due to the fact that, the governors have their own caucus.
It was made known that the names that were submitted were, Gov Babagana Zulum, who happens to be the governor of Borno State, Gov Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, Gov Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State, Gov Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, Gov Samuel Lalong of Plateau State, the former governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Yakubu Dogara and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha.
