Gov. Yahaya Bello Bags NAPPS Leadership, Outstanding Award on Education.


 

The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Kogi State Chapter has presented an award of Excellence to Gov. Yahaya Bello for his Leadership and Outstanding Contributions to Educational Development in the State.

The Kogi State Chairman of
NAPPS, Dr. Habeeb Yaqueen made the disclosure while presenting the
Educational Award to Gov. Yahaya Bello on the occasion of this year’s NAPPS day held in Lokoja.

NAPPS particularly praised the Governor for his massive intervention in Education, particularly praised the singular decision of Gov Bello to open schools in the State while other states had shut down schools at the peak of covid-19.

The State Chairman while urging the State Government to continue to create an enabling environment for private schools to operate in the State, urged for a relax in some of the taxes charged Private Schools in the State.

Receiving the Award, Gov. Yahaya Bello, represented by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon Wemi Jones, assured that the Commitment by the administration to reposition Education remains irrivocable.

While pointing out that the State Government intends to in the coming year increase budget funding for education, promised sustained infrastructure and human capital Development.
