Hon. Dr. AbdulRahman Musa Dantala, Senior Special Assistant on conflict resolution to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, charges Fulani residents in Kogi State on peace and co-operation with the State and security agencies.
In company with the Senior Special Assistant on grassroots and harmonization to the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Hon. Dr. Nuhu A. Jalido; Hon. Musa Dantala, Special Assistant on conflict resolution to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, met with fulani leaders at Adogo Ohi Palace on Tuesday. The meeting was centred on security issues and the upcoming October 19th Local Government election across the State.
Speaking at the meeting, Hon Dr Abdulrahman Musa Dantala, the Senior Special Assistance on conflict resolution to His Excellency Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, appreciated his colleague, Hon. Nuhu for his effort in putting together such a powerful meeting that is geared towards how to ensure we have a peaceful environment as a State.
He said Fulani people who reside in Ajaokuta and every other part of Kogi State should please join hands with security agencies to fight crime and desist from any form of violence and criminal acts, so as to bring peace to the communities.
He said when peace prevails, communities can focus on the essential tasks of living, such as agriculture, trade, and others which are the bedrock of any society’s sustenance. The absence of peace, conversely, disrupts these vital activities, leading to famine, displacement, and a breakdown in social order. Thus, peace is not just a desirable state but a necessary condition for the survival of humanity.
Present at the meeting was the Host HRH ohi of Ajaokuta ably represented by the central Madaki, the representative of the caretaker chairmen, the army commandant Capt Yau Sa’ad, the DPO Adogo, Mal Yusuf Hansti, DPO Ajaokuta Mal SULE, the head of civil defense and head of other private security outfit within Ajaokuta LGA.
