Gov. Nwifuru’s Wife Flags Off Distribution Of Cash Gift To Over 10,000 Vulnerable In Ebonyi

The Wife of Ebonyi State Governor Chief (Mrs) Mary-Maudline Uzomaka Nwifuru has flagged off the distribution of cash gift to over 10,000 poor and vulnerable in Ebonyi to reduce poverty.

Speaking while flagging off the programme in Abakaliki, Mrs Nwifuru noted that the initiative represented a significant steps towards empowering those in needs and creating a more inclusive and equitable society, adding that the distribution of debit cards for the beneficiaries to use for withdrawal of their money was a clear testimony to the commitment of the present adminstration of leaving no one behind in the State.

She expressed the determination of the State Government to support and uplift the needy so as to have a fulfilled life.

The Governor’s wife commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for their dedication and compassion in impacting on the lives of the less privileged ones in the society.

She further appreciated the State Commissioner for human capital development Mrs Ann Aligwe for her efforts in ensuring that the real people who are affected were captured for the programme while saying that the State Government would do its best in addressing the root causes of poverty in the society.

Earlier in her remarks, the State Commissioner for human capital development Mrs Ann Aligwe commended Ebonyi State Governor Chief Francis Nwifuru and his Wife for their efforts in attracting the financial empowerment to Ebonyians and announced that the State Government has rolled out many empowerment programmes and would commence soon.

She said the beneficiaries numbering over 10,000 were selected across the thirteen local government areas of the State and charged them to utilize the money judiciously.

On her part, the manager of Zenith bank Mrs Uju Izuchukwu while expressing her readiness to deliver on her assigned duty, enjoined the beneficiaries to utilize the opportunity wisely in their own interest.
