Gov. Bello’s Administration Pays N15,991,238,674.46, as Pensions, Gratuity in the year 2022.


 

The administration of Gov. Yahaya Bello has paid the sum of N15,991,238,674.46 as Pension to retired State Civil Servants between January 2022 till date.

 

In a statement issued to Newsmen by Mr Jide Samuel, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance Budget and Economic Planning, while marking the 2023 Worker’s Day
described the administration of Gov Bello as one that made the payment of pensions and gratuities a priority since assumption of office.

The Permanent Secretary further disclosed that the present administration paid pensions and gratuities it inherited from past administrations in the State, described the administration as one with a human face.

The Permanent Secretary explained that the administration of Gov. Bello, aside making the payment of pensions and gratuities a priority, has equally ensured the prompt payment of salaries to the State Civil Servants.

The Permanent Secretary added that the State Government is up to date with the payment of salaries to State Civil Servants, praised Gov Bello for making issues of pension, gratuity of retirees and salaries of Civil Servants a topmost priority.
