Gov. Bello Appoints Special Person As SSA, gives scholarship to two other special persons As Kogi LGA Quaranic Recitation Competition Ends in Grand Style


 

… Usman Saidu Jaidu emerges overall winner, went home with motorcycle

 

 

The Kogi State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello at the weekend graced the 2022 Kogi LGA Quranic Recitation competition held at Gegu Beki, with Usman Saidu Jaidu, emerging the overall winner of the competition.

 

The overall winner of the Quaranic Recitation Competition went home with a brand new motorcycle while other winners went home with plasma television.

 

People with Disabilities were among the winners of the prices for the different categories of the competition, could not hide there joy for the mouth watering prizes splashed on them.

In his magnanimity, Gov. Yahaya Bello appointed one of the winners who is a visually impaired person as Senior Special Assistant on disabled persons, he also gave scholarship to the two special persons who took part in the competition.

 

The Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Bashir Gegu commended the committee for organizing a seamless competition.

 

He particularly praised Kogi LGA Council of Ulamau, Ohinoyi of Gegu Beki, HRM Alh. Muhammed Abba Alhassan for his total commitment and support towards ensuring a hitch free competition.

 

The Commissioner also donated the sum of N0.5million and a wheel chair during Quranic competition to another special person, assured that he will continue to remain a friend to people with disabilities.

Engr. Bashir congratulated the winners and all the other participants for there efforts in the propagation of Islam.

He promised to support all faiths in the local government area, used the medium to preach peaceful coexistence amongst the people of Kogi LGA.

Traditional rulers across the LGA, political Appointees and elected personalities graced the occasion.
