… Was a man of peace
The Kogi West Senatorial District Candidate for National Rescue Movement, Mallam Bala Abdulghafar Dirisu has described the late Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Dr Muhammadu Maikarfi the 111, as a man of peace and honesty, said throughout his reign Peace was his mainstay.
Mall. Bala joined top personalities to grace the 40 day prayers of the Lokoja Monarch, told Journalists on Sunday in Lokoja, that the continued peace and unity the ancient city of Lokoja is enjoying was through the sincerity and guidance of the late Maigari.
Mall. Bala added that the late monarch was a man of tradition who was very passionate about the development of the Lokoja emirate council and the state in general.
“I had cause to interact with the late Royal father on several occasions. He was a man who stood for tradition and was passionate about his subjects.”
”He was very passionate about the development of Kogi state, Lokoja local government traditional council in particular, and he kept emphasizing the need to maintain peace and unity amongst his subjects,” Mall. Bala said.
Mall. Bala urged the people of the Lokoja traditional council always remember and respect what the late Royal Father stood for while he reigned.
”The people should remain united and continue to uphold the values that he stood for, especially his passion for seeing rapid development in Lokoja,” he added.
He, therefore, prayed Allah to forgive the late Maigari ‘s shortcomings, grant the people the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss, reward him with Aljannah Firdaus
The event was attended by dignitaries including the Ohimege Igu of Koton karfe, HRM Alhaji Gambo Abdulrasaq Isah-koto,
The prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Muhammed Aminu Sha’aban and other Islamic clerics in and outside the State.
