Barefoot Renewable Energy College at CUSTECH Osara.
Mall. Abudulganiyu Badamasuiy, Chief Executive Officer, Geemony Kleaners, has praised Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo for the establishment of the Barefoot Renewable Energy College at the Confluence University Osara, Kogi State.
The CEO, Geemony Global Kleaners, described the establishment of Barefoot Renewable Energy College in Kogi State, the first ever Barefoot Renewable Energy College in the State by the Energy Commission of Nigeria as a product of Gov. Ododo’s commitment to collaboration with governmental and non governmental institutions.
He said such collaboration would enhance rapid development of the State, Congratulated the Governor on the successful ground-breaking ceremony for the establishment of barefoot renewable energy college in Osara.
Geemony as he is fondly called described Gov. Ododo as a lover of clean environment, pointing out that his administration has shown deliberate efforts and robust vision towards sustaining clean and safe environment, described the feat to establish the barefoot renewable energy college as unprecedented.
In a statement issued to Newsmen at the weekend after the ground breaking, he said when completed, the college will serve as a hub for various stages of practical education, research, and application for a well-thought out roadmap for development of expertise and innovation in the energy sector.
He said at a time renewable energy is gaining unprecedented growth in the economic landscape across the globe, Kogi cannot but play a lead role in the development of manpower and expertise that will prepare Nigeria to play a lead role in the sector within the West African sub-region.
He added that the college will offer unprecedented developmental architecture for renewable energy, especially solar, wind, geothermal, and bioenergy as well as provide interdisciplinary learning that will integrate environmental science, engineering, policy, economics, and technology to provide a holistic education all geared towards improving the environment.
Geemony also thanked the federal government, especially the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology and the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) for taking interest on the project and for finding Kogi worthy of such an unprecedented endeavor.
He assured that Geemony Global Kleaners will work towards ensuring that the vision of Gov. Ododo as envisioned for a safe, clean and beautiful environment is sustained in the State.
