The Forum of Focal Persons of National Social Investment Programme in Nigeria (NSIP), has presented a Merit Award to Hajia Sadiya Umar Farouq, the Hon. Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, as the “Best Minister” of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Administration.
The award was jointly presented to Farouq by the Forum’s National Chairman, Alh Abdulkadir Mohammed Nasir; Secretary, Chinenye Nwaogu; and National Publicity Secretary, Prince Abdulkareem Onyekehi Suleiman, at a sent forth Dinner in her honour in Abuja.
The forum commended the Minister for her selfless service towards humanity through social interventions and the sustainability of national social investment programs in Nigeria.
“We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation on behalf of all the beneficiaries of the National Social Investment Programme throughout the Federation.
“Your outstanding contributions as the Honorable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development have not gone unnoticed.
“Your unwavering dedication to driving the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) in Nigeria has positively transformed the lives of millions of Nigerians.
“Through your leadership, the NSIP has achieved remarkable milestones, enhancing livelihoods, providing nourishment to school children, empowering unemployed youths, supporting small-scale businesses, and offering essential cash grants to vulnerable households,” they said.
The forum stressed that under the Hon Minister’s stewardship, the NSIP had been successfully institutionalized as an established Agency and signed into Law by President Buhari.
They decribed feat as a significant step to ensuring the long-term sustainability of the programs.
They added: “It is with immense pride and admiration that we, the Forum of Focal Persons representing all beneficiaries of the NSIP across the Federation, present you with this letter of commendation and appreciation.
“Thank you sincerely for your remarkable service to the nation, we wish you success and Allah’s Guidance in your future endeavors”.
