Former Kogi Lawmaker Denies Misleading Facebook Post titled: Second term Agenda, dead on Arrival.
A former Kogi House of Assembly Member,
Hon. Adeyemi Adebola Abidemi says he has been misquoted, denies mischievous insinuation.
Hon. Abidemi who represented Yagba West State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, said a section of the the media and the public have choosing to misinterpret a simple Facebook post meant to keep the governor focused and undistracted from good governance.
Referring to a post: Second term Agenda dead on Arrival, said “My attention has been drawn to an article with the above caption which has been circulating with the headline”.
“I wish to make it clear that this statement does not represent the views of my leader Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke”, as is being alledged.
“I affirm that the media have choosing to misinterpret a simple Facebook post, meant to keep the governor focussed and undistracted from good governance”.
He called on the general public and well meaning Kogites to discountenence the post, said his post was to the effect that it was too early to begin campaign for a second term for the Governor, urged that he should not be distracted.
He called on the people to join hands with the Governor to enable him deliver good governance, pointing out that it was too early to call for a second term as it would be a distraction.
He concluded by saying that his post was his personal opinion, has nothing to do with Hon. James Faleke, as is being insinuated.
