The devastating effect of the flood in Bassa LGA is huge. It is on this note that the APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary Alhaji Yakubu Murtala have donated the sum of Ten Million Naira to the flood victims in Bassa LGA. Alhaji Yakubu Murtala is also the National Coordinator and Convener of the GYB Networks for Asiwaju 2023. A grassroot campaign network that is geared towards mobilizing support for the All Progressive Congress and all it’s Candidates in the Next General elections.
Speaking to Press men on this development, the Coordinator of the GYB Network for Asiwaju in Bassa LGA Hon Yizogembi Abwa thanked and appreciated the efforts of the National Coordinator in cushioning the devastating effects of the flood.
Hon Abwa also called on other well meaning Nigerians to come to the aide of Bassa LGA citizens as Government alone cannot do all that is needed.
Hon Abwa went further to inform the people of Bassa and those affected that adequate and transparent modalities for disbursement of the funds are being rolled out and they will be communicated within the shortest possible time.
It could be recalled that the recent flooding have affected some areas of IKende, Kpanche, Ozugbe, Akakana, Gagba Ayede, Biroko, Kpokudu, Gbechi, Gbedikere, Mozum, Emi Audu, Atakpa, Gande, Ecewu, Shintaku, efforo, Gbobe, Emi Jacob, Adimbeku, Ogba, Oguma and many other Communities in Bassa LGA as many farms have been swept and houses submerged.
