Flood/Collapse of Ganaja Road: Labour Leader Calls for Completion of Wada Bye Pass, Alternative Roads in 500 Units.


 

Comr. Simeon Opaluwa has added his voice on the need to open up alternative road into Lokoja from Ganaja village ahead the predicted flood.

 

The Labour Leader in a statement issued to Newsmen, lamented the sorry State of the Ganaja village road, pointing out that the road is a signature that welcome visitors, lamented that the road is nothing to write home about.

The Labour Leader urged for the opening up of the Wada bye pass road, with Ajaokuta LGC called to open up the roads leading into 500 Housing unit roads.

Comr. Opaluwa expressed worries that with the prediction by NIMET that the 2023 flood will be worst in history, said the time for proactiveness by the concerned authorities has become necessary.

Comr. Opaluwa disclosed that with the flooding noticed in the FCT and in other states all emptying themselves into the Rivers Niger and Benue, said with Kogi State as a meeting place for both rivers only early preparation would avert the impact of the flooding.
