The Proprietor of Prime Polytechnic, Gidan Bassa, Archbishop Benjamin Aniereobi has expressed satisfaction that the first graduates of the Institution have successfully completed there National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Archbishop Benjamin who was full of joy with the outstanding quality of teaching and learning in the Prime Polytechnic Gidan Bassa, said since the establishment of the Private Polytechnic in the State located along Lokoja Ajaokuta Road, aside the full accreditation of all its courses by the NBTE, graduates of the Polytechnic he revealed are doing well in there places of work.
The Proprietor disclosed that aside imparting skills and knowledge on graduates of the institution, the school he added has now added other entrepreneurship courses and centres, said it is with the view to impacting technological skills on graduates.
He said aside the sachet water factory established by the Institution, Prime Polytechnic he said has now began a bottle water factory, added to an already exiting fishery department.
He said the institution now produces its fish feed in the school, disclosed that Prime Polytechnic would soon begin some Professional Certificate Courses, following the approval given by the NBTE.
The current students population of Prime Polytechnic Gidan Bassa, Archbishop Benjamin disclosed is over 1000, expressed optimism that with the approval by NBTE following their visit last year, the Institution would now offer more courses that are needful to the socioeconomic development of the Country.
The Proprietor said the priority of Prime Polytechnic Gidan Bassa is quality teaching and learning that would make graduates self reliant, disclosed that it is on record that ND graduates of the Institution are topping in grades and doing exceedingly well in other Polytechnics they find themselves, assured that impacting technology on the students would not be compromised.
The Proprietor disclosed that his continued relationship with God and humanity is what has influenced his awarding of scholarship to indigent students, disclosed that he has thus far awarded about 250 scholarship to students in 2022 alone.
He disclosed that recently he offered 100 scholarships to interested students of Dekina LGA in honour of his late father in-law, Chief Mark Wada, Former Permanent Secretary, SUBEB, used the opportunity to call on Dekina indigenes located any where in the state and Nigeria, but are indigent to take advantage of the offer to study at Prime Polytechnic.
The Proprietor disclosed that he has already written a letter to the Commissioner for Education, Commissioner For Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ejeh Dekina and the Catholic Church in Dekina intimating and notifying them of his award of scholarship for a hundred students of Dekina indigenes.
He asked interested persons for the award of the scholarship to visit the Ejeh Dekina, Catholic Church Dekina, Prime Polytechnic Gidan Bassa for the collection of forms, described his gesture to assist the indigent as his commitment to God and humanity…. Continue reading
