First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Commissions new Kogi Health Insurance House

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has commissioned the newly constructed Kogi State Health Insurance Agency (KGSHIA) office in Lokoja
Senator Tinubu described the project as a significant milestone in the state’s drive towards achieving accessible, affordable, and sustainable healthcare for its citizens.
The new office which is located opposite the Bishop’s Court in the Government Reserved Area (GRA), Lokoja would be the centre to oversee all the activities of the Agency in the state.
In her speech at the commissioning ceremony, Senator Tinubu emphasized the critical role of health insurance in improving healthcare delivery system and protecting citizens from the financial burden associated with medical expenses.
She noted that an effective health insurance system remains one of the most reliable path way to achieving Universal Health Coverage by the year 2030.
The First Lady applauded the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for giving priority attention to the health care delivery system of the state.She described the construction of the health insurance Agency office as a clear demonstration of great commitment to the wellbeing of the people of Kogi State.
In his remarks, the Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr. Adekunle Aledare, expressed profound appreciation to the First Lady for honouring the state by personally commissioning the Agency’s new office despite her tight official shecdules.
The First Lady was accompanied at the ceremony by the Kogi State First Lady, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, top federal and Kogi State functionaries.
