FIDA Nigeria advocates increased 2024 budgetary allocation on Gender services in Kogi.


 

FIDA Nigeria has advocated increased budgetary allocation on Gender services in the 2024 Kogi State budget.

 

The State FIDA Chairperson, Barr. Lilian Okolo made the disclosure during an advocacy visit to the Permanent Secretary, Budget, Mr. Olajide Samuel.

 

The FIDA Chairperson explained that the need to enhance Gender responsive service delivery by State Actors towards mitigating violence against women and girls in the State has become very expedient.

Barr. Lilian said through collaboration, shared learning or synergy between women rights, civil society organization and relevant state institutions.

The FIDA Chairperson articulated the relevance of Gender responses, solicited the support of the Permanent Secretary in the attainment of the project objectives.

In his response, the Permanent Secretary, Budget, Mr. Olajide Samuel, assured of the needed support to the project objectives.

He lauded FIDA Nigeria and other stakeholders for their interest in curbing gender based violence in the society.
