FGYB; LAID SOLID FOUNDATION BEHIND GOVERNOR ODODO’S EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE – CHIEF ASAJE.
A Chieftain of the “Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) from Kogi West , Chief Richard Asaje, has said that Former Governor Yahaya Bello remains the brain behind the present administration’s excellent performance in Kogi State..
In an interactive session with political pundits at Liberty Hotels, Lokoja, Kogi State, Chief Asaje asserts that the role played by FGYB had elevated governance in the state and a fact that could not be denied by anyone who worked closely with him from 2015 to 2023..
According to him, the nomination of Alhaji Usman Ododo to pilot the affairs of the state to an enviable heights was the logic behind the current economic development of kogi State, said, ” his Blue print did the magic”, he stressed.
Continuing, he said that the efforts of Governor Ododo’s administration in the articulation of all its economic policies to ensure better development in kogi state through continuity under the platform, New Direction agenda/ Consolidation agenda is excellent and the expectation of the public populace across the state..
He applauded Governor ododo, stating that since assumption of office, the administration has continued to put in place strategies on ground as encapsulated in the “Consolidation agenda of the administration to fill in the gaps and to ensure the completion of all the inherited projects of the former administration of FGYB.
“FGYB is a pacesetter, a living trailblazer and a brain box that propels the movement of an idea, that set the standard for others. Governor Ododo as former Auditor General for local Government to FGYB, this has helped to prepare him for the herculean task of leading the state into economic growth as coined by his administration”.
“FGYB deserves the credit because he is the one that was able to assuage the feelings of marginalization by sections of the state, bake the first retinue of very intelligent people that worked with him to develop an implementable blueprint. His experience in kogi politics/governance qualified him as a political leader and the right person from whom advice could be sought regularly for direction”.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is making us proud, he continue to fashioning out new developments/projects that would go a long way in bringing government closer to the grassroots and also accelerating the socio-economic and political agenda of the kogites”.
“Upon assumption of office, he has lived up to expectation in the area of prompt payment of staff salaries and also in ensuring the protection of lives and property through purchase of security vehicles to relevant agencies. Youths and women inclusiveness in governance were not left out”.
“Governor Ododo set the ball rolling with the commitment to add more values towards the social economic growth of the state”.

“Finally, in regards to corruption and criminal cases against FGYB, we are not fighting for him, the court is there to decide on that. l will implore FGYB hidden political persecutors to leave him alone and urge the EFCC to be fair and just in their fight against corruption, and should abide by the rule of law. He who wants to accuse anybody must come with clean hands”.
