Hon Steve Sunday Karimi, was a two term house of representatives member.
The immediate past member representing Yagba federal constituency has boldly written his name with an indelible golden ink in view of his enduring legacies in term of credible, responsible and purposeful representation.

Hon Karimi has distinct himself as an icon of excellence and worthy ambassador of good people of Yagba federal constituency as a two term legislator.

He has been passionate about the well-being of his constituents.

Below are some of the indelible foot prints of Hon Steve Sunday Karimi as credible representative of Yagba federal constituency for two terms.

The Constitution states that the National Assembly is elected to represent the people and to ensure government by the people under the Constitution, It does this by: ensuring that all executive organs of state at the national level of government are answerable to it.

The functions of the National Assembly includes the making of laws, the controlling of the finances of the State and also a critical role to check the actions of government and the Ministries.

It is therefore the duty of a responsible Legislator to Sponsor Bills and Motions on the Floor of the National Assembly in a bid to protect and promote the interest of the citizenry, develop the Nation and ensure peace and good governance.

Hon. Karimi Sunday Steve was elected first in May 2011and because of his dedication to duty, patriotism and hard work, he was re-elected to serve for the second term between May 2015 to June 2019.

In 2011, he sponsored bills and motions. Facilitating projects to his constituency.

Distributed empowerment materials and financial assistance to his constituents.

He displayed high sense of patriotism in promoting peace and unity in Yagba land.

It is imperative to note that in November 2013, Hon Karimi launched the Yagba People empowerment Initiative, a non-governmental organization with reputable sons and daughters of Yagba as trustees.

He personally donated the sum of thirty four million naira (#34,000,000.00 )to the initiative for the purpose of disbursement as soft revolving loans for small scale businesses.

3. Construction of 3 Blocks of classrooms at Comprehensive High School, Ponyan, Yagba East L.G.A., Kogi State. (Federal Ministry of Housing).

4. Supply of two(2) number of transformers in Yagba East L.G.A, Kogi State (Federal Ministry of Power).

5. Nomination and Sponsorship of 12 candidates for Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Skills Acquisition Programme through the House Committee on Industries in March 2018.

6. Nomination and Sponsorship of 61 Candidates/ Constituents for N- Power Programme under 2017 Appropriation Act that kick started in April 2018.

7. Distribution of 15 solar panel boreholes complete with 10,000 litres UPVC Tanks on 6 metres tower in communities across Yagba East, Yagba West and Mopamuro Local Government respectively.

12. Rehabilitation of 80 number solar street light inclusive of charge of batteries and other accessories in the Federal Constituency.

13. Drilling of 6 number hand pumps boreholes in the constituency.

14. Distribution of 120 motorcycles, 20 tricycles, 40 sewing machines, 40 grinding machines, 10 generators, 2 block moulding engines(2016 October ).

15. Sharing and distribution of drugs, insecticides, clothing materials and mosquito nets for women in the Constituency.

16. Set of vehicles was donated to traditional rulers and youths across towns and villages of yagba federal constituency during the launching Of #200m Yagba People Empowerment Initiative/ Mid Term Report at Isanlu.
