Extraction of Okun Apponitees Visits Dangote, Solicits for Support on Iluhagba-Egbe Road Rehabilitation.


 

An extraction of Kogi State Government appointees and aides to His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello, yesterday paid a courtesy call on Dangote Cement Company in a bid to seek for the company’s support to help with the rehabilitation and construction of the Federal highway along Iluhagba-Egbe route.

 

The road which has made life uncomfortable for constituents in the area for years, recently gained the attention of the government and well meaning sons and daughters of the area. A palliative has already being initiated by public office holders from the region, and also with the support of the state government.

In other to compliment these individual efforts, the group visited the largest cement factory in West Africa to seek for their support in the area of corporate social responsibility for them to throw their big weights behind the project to see to its actualization.

After a successful meeting with the cement company Obajana, the host community of Dangote Cement, the group made a stop over at the palace of HRH Oba Dr. Fredrick D.O Balogun, the Olu Apata of Apata.

They were received with open arms by members and Leaders of the community, and pleasantries were extended to His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello, who was eulogiessed for bringing the first government presence in terms of physical project to the community after decades of its existence. And being the 14th paramount ruler of the community, Oba Balogun appreciates His Excellency for making this happen during his tenure and lifetime.

The apponitees preached the need for the community to always support the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello for them to witness more deliveries of dividends of democracy and full inclusiveness in governance; as Governor Yahaya Bello is in the business of running a government for all.

Present on the trip were; Hon. Ahmadu Oludare Jubril, SA Youth and Sports, Hon Afolabi raji,
Special Adviser special duty, Hon. Ibikunle Amodu Abubakar, SSA Youth Empowerment (West), Hon. Femi Esemikose SSA on Political Matters KAbba-Bunu Ijumu Federal Constituency and other Okun Youth stakeholders.
