Family, Friends and well wishers of a former Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Edo state Branch, Prof. Afekhide Ernest Omoti on Saturday joined the Omoti family to celebrate the life and times of his father-in-law, Late Pa. Philip Onorevuroghene Ohwevwo in Kokori inland, Delta State.
The former Chairman NMA Edo state Branch, Prof. Afekhide Omoti is married to Prof.(Mrs) Caroline Omoti, daughter of the departed Pa. Philip Onorevuroghene Ohwevwo.
The entrainment of guests followed immediately after the interment of Late Pa. Philip Onorevuroghene Ohwevwo in his country home of Kokori inland, in Oil rich Delta State.
Top echelons of the University Community, including the immediate Past Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) , Prof. Michael Ibadin and Ven. David Osazee Egbenusi from All Saint Chapel (UNIBEN) attended the colorful funeral service.
The event attracted clerics, staff from the University of Benin Teaching ra (UBTH) and the University of Benin (UNIBEN), who came from far and near to join their colleague and patriarch of the Omoti family, Prof. Afekhide Omoti to bid farewell to his beloved father-in-law who passed away after a brief illness.
Late Pa. Philip Onorevuroghene Ohwevwo was born in 1936 and passed away in 2021 at the age of 85 years.
