Engr. Joan Ojonugwa Oguche Conferred With Fellow, Nigerian Society of Engineers.


 

The Kogi State Coordinator, Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission, Engr. Joan Ojonugwa Oguche has been inducted into the Fellowship of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.

 

The Fellow of the NSE is the highest rank in the Engineering Profession, bestowed only on people who have distinguished themselves in the profession and character.

 

In a colourful and well attended ceremony, the HYPPADEC State Coordinator, having paid her dues in the Engineering Profession with several landmark achievements to her credit was inducted into the highest level of NSE, has no doubt paid her dues in the Engineering Profession.

 

Described as a Professional Engineer who has distinguished herself, Engr. Joan by all standard was eloquently qualified, with the Society said to be proud of the Kogi State Coordinator of HYPPADEC.

 

Engr. Joan Ojonugwa Oguche according to the Society of Engineers, has by virtue of her over 15 years post qualification experience, proven professional competence, several landmark achievements in the Engineering Profession was conferred with the fellowship of the NSE amidst cheers and loud ovation.

Engr. Joan having met her corporate Membership status of the Society, up to Date Financial Membership in the Society, very active Member in Division and Branch, with COREN Registration and Active Practicing License was described as fit to be a Fellow of NSE.

In a brief profile read at the ceremony, Engr. Joan Ojonugwa Oguche started her engineering career at Federal Polytechnic Bida, Niger State in 2002 where she acquired a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Civil engineering with an upper credit.

In 2012, she got her Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Civil engineering from Federal University of Technology Akure, Ondo state with a second class upper credit.

In her quest for more knowledge, she got her Masters of Engineering (M.eng) degree in Highway Engineering from Federal University Oye-Ekiti 2021 and presently undergoing a Doctorate degree (Ph.D) in Geotechnics Engineering from Federal University, Oye- Ekiti.

Engr. Joan Oguche is a Registered COREN engineer and a member of the following professional bodies; –

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE).
Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN).

Engr. Joan Oguche is an erudite scholar who has written several Journals, Conference papers and Technical papers, Some are; –

Engr. Joan Oguche is an accomplished Civil engineer with wealth of experience from different fields of engineering especially Civil engineering.

She spent over twenty years in Ministry of Works designing, constructing and supervising road projects. She has also served as a consultant to some road projects such as FADAMA feeder roads construction 2018-2019 in Anambra state.

Currently, Engr. Joan is the State Coordinator HYPPADEC Kogi State.
Engr. Joan is a core member of NSE who has always upheld the values and ideas of the society, served as the Financial Secretary and Treasurer of the branch, also served as the Chairman and Vice chairman of APWEN at branch level.
Engr. Joan Oguche is a Pastor with Salem Family Central lokoja, Kogi State.

She is married to Barr. Mathews Oguche and the union is blessed with four (4) children and a grandchild.
