The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo Central Senatorial District, suffered a major set back over the weekend as a great leader Of the party resigned his membership .
Engr Gideon Ikhine joined the list of high profile growing members that have decamped the party in the last few weeks.
Engr Ikhine tendered his resignation letter on Saturday July 8, 2023, to the Ward 7 Chairman, Ekpoma in Esan West Local Government Area.
Though, Ikhine did not give any reason for his resignation.
The Nigerian Post gathered that the former PDP governorship aspirant left the party with thousands of his followers from the party.
In the resignation letter obtained by Nigerian Post, Engr Ikhine reads; –

It has been a great honor to contribute to the growth and success of this party over the years, with People Democratic Party recording outstanding results from my Ward all through the 24 years of working with you.
My commitment to the people of Ward 7, Esan-West Local Government and Edo people remains firm and resolute to keep serving them in other capacity.
I would like to personally thank you for the privileges, opportunities, and leadership I enjoyed over the 24 years of my stewardship with you. I trust you will convey my deep gratitude to the party leadership of Ward 7, Esan-West LGA, Senatorial, State and National levels.
