Kogi Assures Investors of Adequate Protection.

 

The Kogi State Government has assured that it has put in place all necessary arrangements to protect investment and investors in operating in the State, as Engr. Bashir Gegu describes Gov. Yahaya Bello as a catalyst of development, employment

Gov. Yahaya Bello gave the assurances of adequate protection of investment at the Ground breaking Ceremony for the establishment of Gold refining cluster in Mopa, Mopa Amuro LGA, assured of security for investments in the State.

The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Ministry of Mines and steel development is the sponsor of the project for the North Central State, with
Kogi State Government as the provider of land and enabling environment.

The Governor was represented at the Ground Breaking Ceremony by Hon Commissioner of Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, described the state as an investment destination, beckoned on well meaning business and investors to come over to the State.

He described the state as a State that has the propensity for quick return on investment, assured that the State Government would ensure the realization of the objectives for the establishment of Gold refining cluster in the State.

The State Governor thanked the President for the locating the project in the State, assured of the support and cooperation of the people of the State to his administration

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Mines and Steel Development Abuja, Dr Akinlade represented the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Arc. Olamilekan Adegbite, charged Kogi Indigenes to open their hands of hospitality to the remaining five states who are also a beneficiaries of the laudable project.

In his remarks, Engr. Bashir Gegu, Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals, described Gov. Yahaya Bello as a catalyst of development and employment.

The Solid Minerals Commissioner lauded the effort of the State Government in making the State realize it solid Minerals potential, assured of the support of the Ministry in the realization of the objectives.

Engr. Gegu ” tagged the project as diversification made easy and youth friendly project”, said It has shown the Governor’s good spirit towards youths and women employment.

The Mopa Amuro LGA Chairman assured of the safety of all the engineers, workers and prospective investors

The Mining Association, women in Mining and all other critical stake holders were present at the ground breaking.

Chairman of Kogi Minerals development Agency, Hajiya Hasiyat Suleiman and Managing director of Kogi Solid minerals development company Ltd, Engr Mohammed Lawal were also present while the Executive chairman of Ijumu, Mopa, Yagba West and Yagba East were also in attendance.
