The Honourable Commissioner for Works and Housing, Engr. Abubakar Sadiq Ohere (FNSE) has assured women in the state that the policies of the present administration will continue to support and encourage women, stressing that Kogi state under the watch of Governor Yahaya Bello will not tolerate any gender-based violence.
Engr. Ohere gave the assurance on Saturday when addressing members of Fair Win Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS) shortly after the All Progressive Congress (APC) convention in Lokoja, the state capital.
Engr. Ohere hailed FAWWASS for their doggedness, prayers and support for Governor Yahaya Bello and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
According to Engr. Ohere, Kogi state will continue to be a model for other states to emulate.
He beseeched the group members to continue to support Governor Yahaya Bello, noting that women plays critical role in bringing lasting peace and development to any society.
Speaking on the APC Congress, Engr. Ohere charged party members in the state to support the party executives, positing that APC under the leadership of Hon. Abdullahi Bello is waxing stronger.
He called for collective prayers for Kogi state, assuring the people that more infrastructure projects will be executed before the end of the year.
