In a bid to strengthen grassroots mobilization and enhance community engagement ahead of the 2027 elections, the Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natura Resources, Engr. Abubakar Bashir Gegu has donated two motorcycles to the Gbagyi and Bassa communities in Kogi Local Government Area.

 

The gesture is part of Engr. Bashir’s commitment to supporting grassroots sensitization efforts for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and promoting the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. The motorcycles are expected to enhance mobility and facilitate effective communication within the communities as they work to strengthen voter awareness and active participation.

Speaking during the presentation, Engr Bashir emphasized the importance of grassroots involvement in the political process, noting that community engagement is a critical tool for advancing democracy and ensuring that the achievements of the APC administration are effectively communicated to the people.

“The Gbagyi and Bassa communities have always been strong supporters of the APC, and this donation is a way of empowering them to continue their efforts in sensitizing voters about the developmental strides of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo. These motorcycles will help improve their butreach and ensure that our message reaches every corner of Kogi Local Government Area,’ Engr. Bashir stated.

Leaders of the Gbagyi and Bassa groups expressed their gratitude for the donation, commending Engr. Bashir for his support and dedication to their communities. They assured him of their commitment to mobilizing support for the APC and working tirelessly to ensure the success of the party in the upcoming elections.
