….300 Others Receive Cash
A Kogi-based non-governmental organization, Enemona Josh Foundation, has donated food items, including mini bags of rice, beans and a variety of spices to over 1000 widows in Kogi State.
The food items were also supported with cash to enable the beneficiaries handle basic family expenses that may arise from time to time.
Presenting the items to the widows through their community leaders in Ejule and Anyigba on Wednesday, Founder/Chairman of the foundation, Gabriel Onoja, explained that the donation was meant to assist the women cushion the economic hardship with their children.
Gabriel Added that the women deserved the best and that no condition of referral was used to pick the women, which are spread all across Dekina and Ofu local government areas.
“My philosophy in life, based on my background, is that nobody is too poor to give and nothing is too small to be given to anybody. Each time I do any work of charity, I feel extremely excited and elevated-having that inner joy in me that I have achieved something great”
Onoja added that “No matter how poor one is, there is somebody you are richer than. That is why I have been taking food items to women, to give them support, which by the grace of God, will be sustained.
Speaking further, Gabriel noted that through charitable works like what he is doing, he has obtained blessing, favors and mercy from God, adding that he would continue to show kindness to the poor.
He called on the beneficiaries to be grateful to God always, adding that faithfulness in little things attracts more favor from God.
On the issue of crimes in the society, Gabriel Onoja advised mothers to always keep an eye on their children, train them in ways of God and see that their personal lives serve as a model of emulation for their children…. Continue reading
