END OF AN ERA: MR. STEVEN MOMOH AZIZ TRANSFERS LEADERSHIP AS PERMANENT SECRETARY, MINISTRY OF HEALTH

In light of the recent reassignment of Permanent Secretaries by the Kogi State Government, Mr. Steven Momoh Aziz has officially transferred leadership of the Kogi State Ministry of Health to the newly posted Permanent Secretary, Mr. Maji Enoch. During a brief ceremony at the Ministry of Health conference hall, Mr. Aziz delivered his handover address, expressing a profound sense of responsibility and gratitude as he formally transferred the Ministry’s responsibilities.

He extended his deepest appreciation to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of the State, for the opportunity to serve in this esteemed role. Mr. Aziz highlighted that his tenure provided a platform to significantly contribute to strengthening the health system and enhancing service delivery to the citizens.

Mr. Aziz also expressed sincere gratitude to the Honourable Coordinating Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abdulazeez Adams Adeiza, for his unwavering support, guidance, and collaboration throughout his tenure. He acknowledged Dr. Adeiza’s pivotal leadership in achieving the Ministry’s milestones.

To his colleagues—Directors, Heads of Units, and the entire staff of the Ministry—Mr. Aziz extended heartfelt thanks for their professionalism, dedication, and teamwork, which have facilitated smoother and more impactful administration. Together, they achieved commendable progress in key areas, including strengthening partnerships with development agencies, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing the Ministry’s visibility.

While acknowledging the notable successes achieved, Mr. Aziz recognized that challenges remain, requiring sustained effort and commitment. However, he expressed confidence that the Ministry will continue to build on the solid foundation already established. Mr. Maji Enoch, the newly posted Permanent Secretary, pledged to maintain the ministry’s harmonious working relationships and to foster further development initiatives.
