According to Punch News reports, it was reported that the former Sokoto State Governor and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Attahiru Bafarawa, has reacted to the comment by the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, that there are no elders left in northern Nigeria.

It was further reported that Bafarawa said the comment was an affront to the North and unpleasant for El-Rufai to categorize all as bad eggs.
According to one of his statements, Attahiru Bafarawa also said that “it is really wrong for El-Rufai to say Tinubu will win the election whether the people support him or not.”
