Ejeh Olamaboro confers chieftaincy title on Kogi State Deputy Speaker.


 

The Ejeh of Olamaboro and Chairman, Olamaboro Local Government Traditional Council, HRH EnekOjokpuche Ujah Simeon Sani has conferred the chieftaincy title of ABÉNECHÈ EJEH OLAMABORO on RT. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed, the Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly and member representing Ankpa 1 constituency at his palace on Sunday 10th of October, 2021.

The ceremony, presided over by the traditional ruler and the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, HE Chief Dr. Edward David Onoja, was graced by eminent personalities from all walks of life.

The traditional ruler said the decision to confer the title of ABÉNECHÈ on the Deputy Speaker is due to his contribution to society and outstanding representation as a Legislator. He said he never had any close relationship with the Deputy Speaker, but his younger brother, Hon. Ujah Alewo Anthony who is the member representing Olamaboro Constituency recommended him to the council based on his excellent track records; He cited many examples of the Goodwill of Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed in Ankpa LGA, in providing Basic Social amenities, youth empowerment, job opportunities to Sons and Daughters from Ankpa and other LGAs outside the state, amongst others.

The ABÉNECHÈ EJEH OLAMABORO in his acceptance speech said he accepted in good faith, the chieftaincy title conferred on him by the HRH the Ejeh of Olamaboro based on the traditional ruler’s objective assessment of him, he described the Ejeh as a highly revered and principled traditional ruler. His words; “Olamaboro LGA is my maternal home. I spent most of my youthful age at Okpo and the people have shown me love and all the support that has brought me this far. I express my profound appreciation on behalf of my family, friends and the people of Ankpa LGA for deeming it fit to bestow the honour of ABÉNECHÈ EJEH OLAMABORO on me today. I am very pleased with the title and I will make sure I do my best for the council and always available for the King as one of his apostles.”
