Eid-El-Kabir: Kogi NLC sends message to workers

The Kogi State Chapter Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comr. Onuh Edoka has urged Muslim faithful in the State to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice, love and discipline as they celebrate Eid-el-kabir.

According to him, Eid-el-Kabir symbolises sacrifice, discipline, faith, the spirit of give and take, love of God and love for our neighbours, obedience to and total submission to God, our creator.

He urged citizens not to despair in the face of the several challenges facing workers but to lend themselves to prayers for the powers that be to make workers welfare a priority.

Edoka said: “We use this opportunity to appeal to all Kogites, not only Muslims, to imbibe the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir.

“This is the best time for Kogites to imbibe these qualities to address political disputations, massive loss of lives due to conflicts across the country.

“This moment would avail us the opportunity to strengthen the bonds that hold us together and share values that stands on high pedestal in the community of states.

“We should rise with a common resolve to challenge those people and those things that polarise us. We have no state other than this; we can have no better freedom than in our State and country.
