Eid El Kabir: Hon Wemi Jones Congratulate Muslim faithful, calls for prayers, sacrifice


 

As Muslims all over the world celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir tomorrow, the Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon Wemi Jones, has enjoined all Muslim faithful to continue to persevere and pray for peace and progress of the Nation and Kogi State in particular.

In his message to felicitate with adherents of the Islamic faith, Hon Wemi Jones said a strict adherence to the teachings of Islam in the areas of love, brotherliness, piousness, peaceful coexistence as well as tolerance will greatly assist the present administration to achieve its stated positive agenda for the people.

According to him “the present challenges facing the country is a passing phase that will soon be over with ongoing government policies and peoples’ cooperation with government.”

The Commissioner said he will continue to ensure that the sound educational policies of Gov. Yahaya Bello are implemented to the fullest towards repositioning the Education Sector of the State.

Hon. Wemi Jones urged Muslims to shun social vices as contained in the Koran as such are not only detrimental to the individuals well- being on the long run but harm the fabric of society in various ways that may not be immediately seen.

While he congratulated the Muslim faithful, particularly Gov. Yahaya Bello for witnessing yet another Eid El Kabir in good health and prosperity, he prayed God to grant the faithful and People of the state the grace to celebrate many more festival in the coming years.
