Eid-el-Kabir: Kogi Education Commissioner Felicitates With Muslims, Calls For Religious Tolerance


 

The Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones, FCIB, has felicitated with the Muslim faithful in the state on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

 

 

In a statement made available to journalists on Friday in Lokoja, the Commissioner congratulated all Muslims in the state and in Nigeria at large, and called for peace, unity and religious tolerance as exemplified by His Excellency, Gov. Yahaya Adoza Bello

He called on all Nigerians to continue to exhibit the spirit of sacrifice, kindness, love and peace, which were the virtues of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

He reassured the people of the state of the determination and commitment of His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello, to the total transformation of the education sector for the benefit of the citizenry.

”I admonish our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue to tolerate one another as we use this period of celebration to offer prayers for the unity, peace and economic growth of our nation.

”May this special day bring peace, happiness and prosperity to everyone, Kogi State, Nigeria and the world over. Happy Sallah!
