An All Progressives Congress loyalist and an eminent son of Igala kingdom from Dekina local government area, Hon. Andrew Onu Adama has congratulated Muslims brothers and sisters and the non Muslims alike for commemorating yet another Eid el-Kabir-sallah celebration,1443 AH, 2022.
Hon. Andrew Onu in a message of felicitation to the people of Okura state constituency ,Dekina and the state in general which was forwarded to media Organizations in Lokoja,said God deserved the praises for allowing mankind to witness this year’s sallah despite encountering several hicups.
The business magnate based in Abuja,the Federal capital territory urged the adherents of Prophet Muhammad (Saw) and the totality of the citizens to allowed the reason for the season which is obedience and trust in Allah which was exemplified by Ibrahim the father of faith and Universe in offering his only son(Ismail) as burnt offering and came ascending sacrifice(ram) to always permeate them
The former Okura state constituency Aspirant in the just concluded APC primary who did not pick the party’s ticket due to undue influence from the power that be, urged them to emulate Allah’s deeds by showing love, giving to the helpless neighbors and above all obey His ordinances and laws for the obtainment of His blessings.
Hon. Andrew further informed that the problems facing human being especially the widespread insecurity, mass poverty, economic retardation, and other nadir of human challenges confronting mankind could be overturned if only they worship Allah in sincerity and obey His precepts
The Okura born politician, Community leader and people’s emancipator canvassed for mutual co-existence with other multi-ethnic and muilt-religious groups positing that growth and development could only materialise in the society where peace and unity reign supreme .
”It is also a moment of spiritual and regeneration of our nation and its citizens to be liberated from the web of challenges of widespread insecurity, mass poverty, rising inflation,lack of job opporteunities and other plathora of mountains facing our country”.Adama asserted.
Ahead of February 2023 elections ,Hon. Andrew Onu urged Igala sons and daughters who have reached the age of 18-years but were yet to obtain their permanent voter cards to approach the Independent national electoral Commission ‘INEC’ for registration as its serve as portend tool to effect good leadership come 2023 and beyond .
”The season is a wake up call for all and sundry to reflect deeply on the state of the nation with a view to come up with suggestions that will lead to solve the several obstacles bedeviling our land”. he further quipped.
While wishing Muslim community and the generality of the citizens a happy sallah celebration, Adama however cautioned against indulging in an unholy practices capable of denting their individuals,families, communities, and the state’s reputation.
