EID-EL-KABIR: 1443 ENGR. CLEMENT OHIDA GREETS GOV. BELLO, MUSLIM FAITHFUL, URGE NIGERIANS TO IMBIBE LESSONS OF OBEDIENCE, SACRIFICE, TOLERANCE FOR ONE ANOTHER .

As Muslim worshippers around the globe commemorates yet another eid el-kabir festival which is the ascending sacrifice of ram as a burnt offering in substitution to the only son of Ibrahim (Ismail) in obedient to Allah’s commandment , the Kogi state chairman of the Nigeria of Union Of Pensioners NUP on behalf of the Senior Citizen has felicitated with Kogi State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello, Muslim ummah and the generality of the people on the auspicious Sallah celebration- 1443 AH, 2022.

In a message of felicitation to the people of the state which was made available to media organizations in Lokoja the State Capital ,Engr. Clement Ohida intimated that the season is a wake up call to the Muslims and non Muslims alike to have faith,fear with reverence and profound respect,and obedient to Allah’s precepts as exemplified by Ibrahim .

. He asserted that the substitution of ram instead of Ismail by Allah did not only demonstrate His infinite love-kindness and goodness for humanity but depict His absolute power to change any unpleasant situations man encounter in life.

Engr.Clement Ohida urged the adherents of holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) not to loose hope in Allah but rather continue to worship Him in truth, faith and obey all His ordinances as done by the father of faith and universe, Ibrahim to enable Him intervane in the nadir of challenges confronting man.

The state leader of Pensioners emphasized the need for the followers and citizens to equally obey constituted authorities, show love to the helpless neighbors, and promote peaceful co-existence among the multi-ethnic and muilt-religious groups to user-in a virile, productive and prosperous society.

Engr.Ohida reminded muslem Ummah and the people that the season shouldn’t be seen only as mere merry making and jamboree but a time to draw nearer to Allah in obedience to His principles .

”As we join our Muslim brothers and sisters Worldwide to celebrate the 2022-1443 HA, festivities-This commemoration is a time for deep reflection and a moment we need spiritual and regeneration which will liberate our society from the web of insecurity, poverty and underdevelopment and plethora of other evils that have emasculated our society, ”he said.

”It is time also for all of us, regardless of faith or ethnicity to come together to pray for the peace of our nation -We must all remain constant in our efforts to promote Unity across all lines because United our State and Nation remain, stronger the people’ Ohida further quipped.

While wishing Muslims and the the none alike a happy Sallah celebration , Ohida however admonished celebrants to show a high sense of decency and decorum in order not to dent their individuals, families,communities,and the state’s reputations.
