Eid-el-Fitr: Kogi Finance Commissioner Host NYCN Leadership, Describes Gov. Ododo As Bastion of Youth Development.
The Kogi State Commissioner For Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Asiru Idris has described Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo as bastion of Youth Development.
The Commissioner made the disclosure when he hosted the State Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria and other Executive Members at his Isanlu country home as part of activities for the Eid el Fitri celebration.
The Commissioner said the Governor has shown passion in ensuring that Youth occupy vital place in his administration, lauded the present administration commitment to the payment of WAEC, JAMB and other final year examination for students in public schools.
The Commissioner said the payment of scholarship for students in Tertiary Institutions as well as for law school students as unprecedented in the annals of the State history.
The Commissioner urge the NYCN to reciprocate the administration gesture by continued support and in remaining law abiding, pointing out that to whom much is given much is desired.
He assured that the administration of Gov Ododo will continue to make Youths of the State the centre piece of his administration, described Gov Ododo as meeting with the yearning and aspirations of the people in just his first term of his administration.
He described the regular payment of salaries and pension, simultaneously with infrastructure development across the State as a testament to the fact that the State is on the right track of development.
He assured that with the 32 years development plan of the State, Kogi has become a positive reference in transparency and accountability, assured of more to come for the people in the coming days.
Asiwaju Asiru congratulated Muslims across the country, particularly in Kogi State on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, called on Muslims as well as all Nigerians to utilise this period to pray fervently for peace and unity in the country.
Earlier in his remarks, the State Chairman, NYCN, Comr. Ben Jerry described the Finance Commissioner as a thorough breed professional, said his Midas touch has made the State stand out in transparency and accountability as rated by international and established institutions in the Country.
The NYCN Chairman described the Finance Commissioner as a rare gem personality, praised him for his outstanding contribution to the development of Youths in the State, lauded his immeasurable contributions to the development of mathematics in the State.
Comr. Jerry urged citizens to use the season to promote integration, Congratulated Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo who he described as having created the enabling environment for the socio economic development witnessed in the State.
Comr. Jerry appealed to Muslims to sustain the lessons of Ramadan and replicate same in their daily lives for a better society.
The NYCN Chairman assured of the support of the youths of the State to the program and policies of Gov Ododo’s administration, praised him for all he has done for the State thus far.
