Eid El Fitir: Intensify Prayers For Security in Nigeria, Olujumu Charges Muslims


 

The Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State HRM, Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni (JP) has urged Muslims in the country to use the occasion of this year’s Eid El Fitir Celebration which commemorates the end of Ramadan Fasting to pray more for the Security of the country.

Oba Ayeni who made the call in his Sallah Message made available to Newsmen in is palace, Iyara headquarters of Ijumu local government, kogi State, said only God’s intervention can make the country overcome the security challenges bedeviling Nigeria.

The Ijumu Paramount Ruler explained that there’s nothing impossible with prayer, urging Nigerians to have faith in God and pray for the peace and stability of the country.

According to him, there’s need to also pray for the victory of Security Agencies fighting insurgency as well as leaders at all levels to lead the nation right.

He stressed the need for Nigerians to imbibe selflessness and sacrificial living in their daily lives, saying the lessons of Ramadan should be imbibed by demonstrating the virtues of love, sacrifice, selflessness, compassion and humility even after the Fasting.

The Olujumu Congratulated Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello members of the State Executive Council and the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government, Alhaji Taofiq Isa for witnessing another Eid El Fitir Celebration.

He also felicitated with the Ijumu Muslim Community both at home and in the Diaspora, Kogi State and Nigeria in general and urged them to live in peace with their Christian counterparts.
