Edo NLC To Participate In The 2025 Harmattan School

The leadership of Edo State Council of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has expressed its readiness and preparedness to actively participate in this year’s NLC Harmattan School holding from 23th to 29th November, 2025 at the Public Service Institute, Abuja.

 

In a statement signed by the Chairman of Edo NLC Caretaker Committee, Prof. Monday L. Igbafen emphasized that this year’s NLC Harmattan School is being organized around four (4) courses, namely, Women Leadership, Organizers, educators, and Leadership.

According to Igbafen, the State Council of NLC, three (3) participants led by the Chairman, Caretaker Committee will represent Edo NLC Council at the 2025 NLC Harmattan School.

The theme of this year’s Harmattan School is “Workers’ Rights in the Context of Global Economic Crises and Technological Advancement.”

‎ Igbafen noted that unlike other State Councils of NLC in the country, Edo State Council had sent names of its participants for the school, and they would be assigned each to the four courses (Women Leadership, Educators, Leadership and Organizers.

“The deriving knowledge and training from the Harmattan School would be used to strengthen labour activism and industrial relations in the State”, he stated.
