Ebonyi First Lady Meets Fifteen Development Partners, Donor Agencies For Partnership In Ebonyi

The Wife of the Ebonyi Governor Chief (Mrs) Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Ogbonna Nwifuru has meet with the representatives of fifteen Development Partners from different Countries of the world seeking for partnership with the State Government at her office in Abakaliki.

Some of the Development Partners in attendance were, USAID STATE 2 STATE, USAID Advocacy Nutrition, DIG Foundation, FTF Agric Extension and Advocacy, AMURT, EB-SMOH, USAID MCGL, USAID Momentum, USAID Breakthrough Action among others.

 

Mrs Nwifuru held strategic meeting with the Development Partners to see how to collaborate them in her pet project, raging from touching lives of the less privileged and downtrodden in society and among others through her office,

However, representatives of the Donor Agencies made their presentations on what they could offer the State in partnership with the Governor’s wife.

 

Addressing the partners, Mrs. Nwifuru said the meeting was aimed at exposing to her and her team what the Development Partners could offer to the State for possible collaboration with her pet project.

 

The Governor’s wife who revealed that her pet project would soon be lunched in the State, said she would work with Donor Agencies whose programs and projects were in tandem with her area of interest.

 

She appreciated the Agencies especially those who have been operational in the State and assured them that her office would create a conducive environment for smooth partnership in the areas that would impact lives of the downtrodden.

Speaking on behalf of the Representatives of the Agencies, the State Coordinator of Development partners Dr. Azu Ibiam said they were ready to support the Governor’s wife in her pet project, adding that the Partners had in the past assisted the Government in touching lives of its citizenry.

 

Responding to the presentations made by Representatives of the Agencies, Dr. Mrs Nkechi Echiegu on behalf of the Pet Project Team, thanked the Partners for their presence at the meeting and informed them that the team would digest their presentations and decide on the next line of action.
