The Ebonyi State chapter of the All Progressive Congress APC has reaffirmed its total support and commitment towards delivering the party’s Presidential, National Assembly Candidates among others in this year’s general elections
This was contained in a release signed and made available to newsmen by the State chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha in Abakaliki, the State capital
According to the release: “My attention has just been drawn to the malevolent publication online alleging that the most peaceful and credible political party in Ebonyi State has withheld its support from Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is the presidential standard bearer of the party in less than twenty four hours to the general elections”
“I wish to state categorically clear that APC Ebonyi State under my watch abhors anti-party activities and cannot contemplate withholding her total support from Bola Tinubu by playing a childish game peculiar to inglorious and undignified people”
“We cannot throw our well developed and treasured weight behind the presidential candidate of labour party, Peter Obi as being insinuated by shenanigans online. It is obvious that the story is sponsored by the opposition to make Ebonyi electorate shift their loyalty at this eleventh hour because without lies no other political party can get any reasonable vote in the state at the 2023 polls”
“For emphasis, we are solidly behind the candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu – the Jagaban and city boy not just because that party is supreme but his wealth of experience and detribalised nature. He has the wherewithal to pilot the affairs of the nation when elected unhindered”
“If the purveyors of the unfounded story are core professionals they would have done a balanced report by getting my view on the unwarranted issue because that is what journalism advocates”
