Ebira Market Women Praise Ododo’s Support, Vow Loyalty
The Ebira Oyiza Market Women, International Market Lokoja, have been commended for engaging in viable business ventures that could help improve their living standards.
The Wife of Kogi state Governor, Hajia Safinat Usman Ododo gave the commendation in a message at a get together party organized by the association marking its one year of formation.
Hajia Safinat Ododo who was represented by the wife of the Commissioner for Justice and Senior Aid to her Excellency, , Princess Karimat Abdullahi, urged Members of the association to explore necessary avenue that will help promote their association and business, noting that the unity and cooperation among them will encourage government to provide them soft loan for their businesses.
She urged them to support the present administration of Governor Usman Ododo and his second term bid.
In his speech, the Chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim, praised the Ebira market women group for their zeal and doggedness, stressing that the cohesion and love among them has upgraded their businesses, urging them to set a standard for other group to emulate.
He commended the Lokoja international market consultant for changing the faces of the market .
In a remark, the Royal fathers at the event , the Odeyani Anebira of Lokoja, Alhaji Abduklarim Obeito and the Ohireba of Lokoja, Alhaji Isiaka Idowu expressed joy for the achievements recorded by the Ebira market women , stressing that their efforts and dedication has promoted them to stardom and urged the state government to provide them financial support.
Also speaking at the program, the former House of Representative Member for Ajaokuta federal constituency, Chief Ado Moses Okino said he is impressed in the orderliness of the Ebira market women and prayed for more success in their business activities.
He urged them to avoid internal crises and rancour that could jeopardize their good intentions.
In a remarks, the consultant of International market Lokoja, Comrade Adams Babangida Jimoh, described the one year anniversary of the Ebira Market Women Association , International Market Lokoja as impressive and full of activities and urged them to remain supportive of Governor Usman Ododo’s leadership in the state.
He praised Governor Ododo for given him the opportunity to serve, noting that within the shortest period in office, he has transformed the market into a safe, orderly and hygienic environment for everyone and implementation of justice to the oppressed.
Earlier, the leader of the Ebira Oyiza Market Women International Market, Hajia Isa Salamatu said the purpose of the get together was to celebrate the group’s one year of existence and to appreciate the wife of the state Governor, Hajia Safinat Usman Ododo for the wonderful support she has rendered to them.
She assured of their total loyalty and support to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his second term bid come 2027.
High point at the event was cultural display by various groups and kola nut breaking ceremony administered by the Odeyani Anebira of Lokoja and the Ohireba of Lokoja, Alhaji Isa Idowu.
Another highlights of the occasion was the presentation of awards to some personalities who have made impact in the society.
