Hajiya Memunat Ogirimah, Kogi state head of World Bank Assisted Projects Financial Monitoring Unit – Office of the State Accountant General has felicitated with Christians and the generality of the people of the state for commemorating yet another Easter Festival ,an annual Christians Festivity which despict the truimphant resurrection of Jesus Christ from shackle of death.
Hajiya Memunat Ogirimah in a message to the people of the state on the occasion of 2022 Easter Festival which was made available to Media Organizations in Lokoja,opined that Christ crucification on the cross of Calvary, death and resurrection is a clear testimony of love,hope, confidence, reconciliation and above all God’s love to the universe.
She equally felicitated with Kogi state executive Governor , Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the entire members of the New Direction Team on this suspicious celebration of Easter Festival which coincided with this year’s Holy month of the Ramadan Fast which she stressed is unique and symbolic in the history of the country.
Hajiya Memunat Ogirimah admonished Adherents of Jesus Christ and other religious bodies to sustain the momentum of Prayers for the country and Kogi state and its leaders in particular for the continue peace, unity, progress and development
She explained that the Easter Festival shouldn’t be seen only as a season of merry making or jamboree but a time to ask God the owner of the universe to intervene in the nadir of human, socio-economic and the insecurity malaise that are currently threatening the corporate existence of the most populous black Africa country
Hajiya Memunat Ogirimah further implored the citizens in the spirit of the season to allowed love, sacrifices, good neighborliness, forgiveness, Obedience,trust, and giving to the less privileged (orphans, Widow,needies) as exemplified by Christ during His sojourn on Earth to permeate their daily dealings .
While congratulating the followers of Jesus Christ and the people of the state for the celebration of this year’s Easter Festivity under a rancour free environment , Hayija Memunat Ogirimah however cushion the people against involving oneself in any anti-social behaviors that would dent their reputations and breach the peace and tranquility of the state.
