Dr Tokunbo Alaga Olorundami sends a strong warning to troublemakers in the Ijumu Political Space: Why I replace myself with the damaged poster.

The ADC candidate for the Ijumu, State House Assembly seat, Dr Tokunbo Alaga Olorundami, who is widely accepted as the preferred candidate based on his personal achievement and antecedents, visited the location of his billboard at Ogidi junction only to find that it had been vandalised. This is the second damaged billboard, one was also damaged in Ayetoro.

Sending a strong warning to those who take the path of cowardice, by vandalising other candidate’s billboards to desist from such behaviour, he noted that success lies in working hard to sell oneself and positive programmes to the Ijumu people. Alaga further noted that billboards don’t vote, and his image is engraved in the hearts of the good people of Ijumu who will vote for him, come March 2023.

Dr Alaga mounted the billboard as a symbolic gesture of his place in the heart of the good people of ijumu. ‘I have decided to replace the destroyed billboard with an image of myself in the heart of the people’, he said.
He also stated that the Ijumu people are tired of empty promises and failure in the very basic duty of governance and urged them to think carefully about the choice they make this time around, especially considering the excellent strides made by his party’s national leader, Elder Leke Abejide in Okunland. This, he highlighted, is an indication of better days ahead. ‘Ijumu deserves better’, Alaga noted, stating that thuggery and violence will have no place in the coming elections. He made a call to all leaders and fathers of the land to stand up against such acts of destruction to avoid a situation where Ijumu land is thrown into political upheaval.
