Dr. Sanusi Ohiare Felicitates With Muslims on the Occasion of Eid el Fitr Celebrations

Upon hearing the announcement of the sighting of the new moon crescent of Shawwal in Saudi Arabia, my family and I extend our warmest wishes to the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and around the world for a joyful and blessed Eid el Fitr.

The past 29 days of the sacred month of Ramadan have provided us, as Muslims, the opportunity to devote ourselves to the worship of Allah and to reaffirm our commitment to essential values such as sacrifice, gratitude, compassion, generosity, and most importantly, forgiveness.

Personally, this period has coincided with the gubernatorial primaries of various political parties in my home state of Kogi, where I was an aspirant. As we soon transition into the campaign phase, it is now more important than ever for us to continue praying for Kogi state and seek divine guidance to lead us on the right path.

Let us also pray for our leaders, particularly our President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as he prepares to assume the responsibilities of governing our beloved country, Nigeria, in just a few weeks.

As Muslims, we must internalize the lessons from the last 29 days of Ramadan and strive to foster peaceful and harmonious coexistence. While we celebrate this special occasion with our loved ones, let us do so responsibly, and remember to share our blessings with neighbors and those who are less fortunate.

On behalf of the DSO family and supporters, Eid Mubarak.
