Distinguished leaders and members of this esteemed platform, following extensive consultations with individual members of this platform, stakeholders of our great party APC, family and friends; and after deep introspection, I hereby formally declare my intention to run for the position of the Governor of Kogi State.
My decision to contest was borne out of a sense of commitment to public service and my ability to address complex challenges owing to my diverse experience.
The race for the governor of Kogi State is unusually a close contest that reflects the hopes and aspirations of many voters in the state: Like millions of other Nigerians, Kogi indigenes are living with sharply higher costs of food, and a high rate of unemployment.
I am not just another average politician worried about jobs, safety, economy etc, I am an extensively experienced public servant who seeks to shake tables and get things done. I also seek to give us all a seat at the table in governance and our great party. I am a hands-on politician.
